Physical Appearance (Looks)
- Form: Typically found as large, translucent to off-white crystalline “rocks” or smaller, glass-like shards.
- Color: Higher purity batches appear as clear or pure white crystals. Lower quality or older batches may take on a yellowish or beige tint.
- Deceptive Marketing: Because of its crystalline look, it is frequently mis-sold as MDMA or “Molly” crystals.
Odor and Taste
- Smell: Generally described as having a sharp, chemical odor, though high-purity crystals may have almost no smell. Some users report a faint, bleach-like or “synthetic” scent.
- Taste: Extremely bitter and caustic, often leaving a numbing or “burning” chemical sensation if placed on the tongue.
Consumption & Effects
- Methods: Usually consumed orally or via insufflation (snorting).
- The “Euphoria Trap”: Users often experience a mild sense of euphoria and stimulation similar to MDMA initially, but the effects are shorter-lived (2–3 hours).
- Compulsive Redosing: Because the euphoric peak is brief, users often “redose,” which leads to a dangerous accumulation of the drug in the system.
Severe Health Risks
Eutylone is considered significantly more dangerous than MDMA due to its unpredictable toxicity:
- Prolonged Insomnia: Residual stimulation can prevent sleep for up to 36 hours after a single dose.
- Psychological Distress: High doses or redosing frequently cause severe anxiety, agitation, paranoia, and psychosis.
- Physical Toxicity: Can cause life-threatening hyperthermia (overheating), racing heart (tachycardia), and seizures.
