Physical Appearance (Looks)
- Shape: Typically a shield-shaped or triangular tablet with sharp, well-pressed edges.
- Logo: Features the embossed “T” logo of Tesla Motors.
- Color: Most famously found in bright orange (often fluorescent/neon), but variants in blue, yellow, and purple also circulate.
- Special Features: Many orange Tesla pills are UV-reactive (they glow under a blacklight). They are often thick and heavy, weighing around 450–500mg in total.
Potency & Dosage
- Reported Strength: These pills are notorious for their extreme potency. Lab tests have frequently found them to contain between 220mg and 300mg of MDMA.
- Risk Level: A single Tesla pill can contain three times the standard dose of MDMA, which significantly increases the risk of serotonin syndrome and fatal overheating.
Odor and Taste
- Smell: Like most “designer” presses, they often emit a faint, sweet scent of anise or black licorice.
- Taste: An incredibly bitter, acrid chemical taste. The pill may feel “fizzy” or sharp if it begins to dissolve on the tongue.

- Method: Consumed orally. Due to the high dosage, harm reduction groups like The Loop advise users to “crush, dab, wait” or start with a quarter.
